A shrill alarm blares into your ear and by the time you open your eyes you are already squeezing your phone with a hefty bear paw. You clack a claw against the screen as you turn off the alarm and drop the phone back on the bedside table. Your legs shift in the sheets until you manage to fully free yourself from the covers, exposing most of your body to the little stream of wind the fan could muster. Wearing only a pair of loose boxers still feels like it may be overdressing for the heat today and the idea of moving around only makes it sound worse. You didn’t even bother to look at the time when you turned off the alarm but you remember setting your first alarm for noon and based on the heat you believe that to be right.

Stretching each bit of your body, you feel stale sweat cling to you and tug at the sheet beneath you; each shoulder blade straining and mustering a groan from you as you reach forward before slumping flat on the bed again. You don’t even need to touch anywhere near your groin to know the boxers are half damp from a night of sweating and you can practically smell the musk building up in your boxers with every minute that you continue to lay around. A shower would be the logical next step of your day but you showered last night and it feels like a waste of time to shower again. You don’t really have anywhere to be anyways so what’s the harm in skipping a shower for a day?

From what you recall, today was going to be a pretty normal day at the ranch: Korwin and Isaac planned to handle some animal stuff, Hondo mentioned something about a new game, and you can’t even seem to remember anyone else even implying they had plans for the day. Pausing for a moment, you can’t seem to remember having any plans for the day either. Getting out of bed would be the simplest start to a day but it would be even easier to just not get out of bed. You also consider a start to the day that handles something a bit harder as you feel your morning wood tense in the hot tent of your boxers. Surely you need to get hot and sticky in a good way after being hot and sticky in a bad way, right?


Pull yourself out of bed.

Get just five more minutes of sleep.

Handle your morning tension.
